How hard is it being an Olive Garden waitress?

How much of a challenge is it for a teen's first job?

Would it be a lot easier to be a hostess instead?

I interviewed there once...they told me I'd have to be a hostess first before I could wait. It is easier, but you can make more money. You don't get tips as a hostess, plus you have to deal with crabby people waiting for tables. I'd much rather take the orders and get the tips. Attention to detail is important.
Why is the "difficulty" of the job even on your mind? Of course it's not hard, look at all the idiots that do it. If it was hard, you'd get paid a lot more to do it. Now, most people in service jobs have a big self-importance complex whereby they think that their job is so demanding and they deserve so much thanks. Don't listen to them, nobody likes a woman who has worked her whole life in the same crappy job.

Try it and if you don't like it, quit or get a different job in the company.
If you have never waited table, a hostess job is a good start as you can watch how it's done before you jump in.
Many happy years in the back of the house
