Should I call or email HR to see if I have the job??? |
On last Monday I interviewed with this company for a possible Customer Service position. I feel as though the interview went well. (It lasted 2 hours). Anyways, I emailed the HR department and thanked her "Teresa" for the interview. I received a resonse 15 minutes later, which thanked me for taking the time out to interview with them and that I should receive contact very shortly once the interview process is complete. Today is Friday and still no word. I had a friend of mine call up and ask if they were still looking to fill the position and she was told by Teresa they had just hired someone from my hometown...Hmmmm. Should I email/call to check and update?? Should I continue to wait to hear back??? What do you suggest I do???? I was told I would be contacted "very shortly" once the process was complete.... I really want this job as you can tell..... It can't hurt to call them. if you know that they are done interviewing they may be still discussing who they want to hire. Sometimes they send a letter in the mail to those they didn't hire and call those they did, but sometimes they get busy and don't get to it as soon as we think they should. I would call... Call them. Well, I work in Customer Service and as you know, you need to be outspoken and be able to comunicate easily. I would call and ask, and try to sound as professional as possible. The good news might be that it was you!! Good Luck! If you do e-mail them, make sure you use a spellcheck. Don't email them, call. It will show your interest in the job. Well basically from my experience. If you got the job they would have told you right after the interview. Unless it involved a second one. Basically you should call but they may tell you the same thing. It's worth a try. |
