I have an interview at dairy queen tomorrow. what should i wear and what will they ask? |
i've never had a job interview and i live in a small town where everything is more casual and i know they're used to hiring kids my age (16) but i have no idea what to expect. De's answer was good but having ran a McDonald's and Golden Corral, I have a few pointers. EYE CONTACT. and not speaking clearly. Especially with hiring teenagers, I would ask them a couple of questions, like fav. subject of school. Not because I cared but if I got answers like shoulders shrugging and I don't know, None or some other stupid answer,I felt like they didn't care about getting the job, so just be yourself, sit up straight, eye contact, FIRM handshake, yes even the ladies. Good Luck first wear something business casual... Skirt (knee length) or pants and a polo type shirt... no fancy sayings on it... Usually they may ask you if you worked else where, why you want to work there... (if you have friends there don't tell them that) Just be yourself... Good luck You should wear a business suit to let them know you are professional, but wear a Disney pin so they know that you are youthful. During the interview, ask them to walk you through the retirement plans, and ask if this is the proper time to negotiate a hiring bonus. Also, ask them if they are prepared to offer you a company car or allowance. Good luck! Go with De. That's your answer! ;-)= De, that's a horrible answer. Dairy Queen is a casual restaurant, you show up in a skirt and they're going to look at you funny. Mainly, you want to look clean and organized. Same deal with any restaurant. Clean slacks or dress pants, well fitting top (no large sleeves, oversized, etc), put your hair back in a ponytail or something, lots of loose hair looks bad in a restaurant. Dairy Queen aren't picky, they will ask you easy questions, just be yourself, and you'll be fine :) Extra note, Dairy Queen doesn't have a company car *lmao* |
