What is a goood summer job for 13 year olds ? |
we are in need of a job and we only have 3 days to get one ... we need 30 bucks so plz plz plz help us... we will do anything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... Babysit, mow lawns. babysit, petsit, walk dogs. or see if you can do chores for money at home. Mow some lawns, do some yard work. Do stuff for your elderly neighbours. They appreciate the work you do, and most will compensate you for it. My friend Doug started doing yard work for his neighbour Mrs. Haymon (probably about 75/80) 4 or 5 years ago, and she was paying him ten dollars a day to do it. He still does it now, and she's graduated him to harder work, but she fully understand, that the harder you work, the more you want to get payed. She's now giving him 20. So just go door to door down your street,I'm sure you have many neighbours with messy yards that need a good cleaning. When I was 13 I worked, but it was a long-term job. If you need something quick I'd suggest baby-sitting...be up front...tell the parents that you need thirty dollars and they might just agree to it. Either that, or see who around your neighborhood needs help with things (like elderly people who need yard work done or something like that). Either one might be worth a shot. Past experience Make up a flier on the computer that you will run errans, mow lawns, baby-sit, wash windows or cars, walk dogs, clean yards, weed, anything and everything you are willing to do then get them out to your neighborhood. Make your flier easy to read and add that you need work now! Put on the flier you will do $40 worth of work for $30... or that you will work for the next 4 Saturdays for $30 now... get creative!!! When I was 14, actually started when I was 11, I went around to the neighbors with a friend and took orders for cookies, made homemade cookies, and delivered them. Make sure you price them right to include the cost of the ingredients- we had to pay our parents back... I did that for 4 years, every spring. Just make sure you know your neighborhood and the people you are going to work for and you have your parents permission. Get out there! Good Luck! mowing lawns. |
