WHat are the advantages of working as a waiter? Usually you get discounts on the food you order for yourself, unlimited fountain drinks on the job and sometimes free bread/chips, you get to keep whatever you make in tips at the end of the night, and restaurant workers will always hold bashes with alcohol for a night of drinking after work. Honest to goodness though never work at a place where they hold your credit card tips until you get your check. That automatically kills the point of being a waiter. u get to meet new people Daily Cash!!!! Always a + i get free food, free drinks, lots of socialising....... if you become a good waitor it can take you far. is s a god thing to have on your cv! Tips if you are good at it and the choice of making your own hours and working different schedules. Also, you can meet some really cool people working in a restaurant. I have met some of the best friends working in the food industry. Also, networking. If you are trying to get into a different field later on.
