i recently got a job at toms a family restaurant and ive been working there for like a week bearly ive been working very hard doing everything fast so my manager could see that im a hard worker but he sometimes still gets mad at me and when i do one thing he wants me to do another thing how can i finish when i m doing something everything at once is that right! what he doing?? or get a better job and quit that one?? dont quit,every job is like that-especially in a resteraunt,dont worry it will be ok,it is normal for a boss to piss off workers I hope ur getting paid an arm and a leg 2 put up w/ that bullshit cuz there are way too many restaraunts out there to settle.Move on. Why stay? yeeea i worked in a restaurant for about two weeks i freakin hated it and that happened to me I eventully got fed up and quit. no call no show...I duno u be the judge I did it If you have not completed what he asked you to first- polietly say" Okay when I finish with what you already told me to do I'lll get right on it!" After hours- When public goes home- Be astertive- "Sir, I really like working here- I am getting mixed signals from you... I would appreciate some helpful suggestions on how to better do my work from you...Do you want me to stop everything and start a new task before finishing one in the middle?" Tell him you want to be the best you can be but being new- you need his guidance... Works every time... kill em with kindness- Play up his expertise and stroke his ego- You may learn something and even get a rasie for not caving in- DO NOT quit- cause no one respects a quiter! The more you do the more they expect you to do. Experience for your next job. |
