What is a good question to ask at a job presentation day?

I must attend a one hour presentation day, for a retail graduate job!!!

What expansion they expect in the next few years.
What promotional prospects could you expect.
Find out as as much about the company,it's financial position included and as you do, questions will arise. Ask some knowledgeable questions based on your research.
"In five years time where do you see me working for your company?"

It shows that you are willing to stay with the company and also shows you if they are willing to train employees and further their careers

"What is the first project I will be working on?"

Shows you are willing to try anything and are interested in their business.
Don't ask questions about your working life (eg how long for lunch, what time do I start etc).

Ask about working environment, training, what sort of projects you will be working on etc.
Ask them what plans do they have for their employees ( as in growth and responsibily owning) for the next 3-5 years
A few good Qs: What does the position pay?
Is there a probation period?
What are the benefits?
OR What bennies are included with the position?

You can ask ALL those other Qs the other folks suggested you should ask - AND probably a few more. In my opinion, there are only three [3] to six [6] questions you must ask:
1] "May I ask a favor of you?"
THEN you keep your mouth closed until he/she says "Yes" OR "Sure" OR something in the affirmative.
2] 鈥淢ay I have one of your business cards?鈥?br /> 3] "Would you please tell me EVERYTHING there is to know AND I MUST KNOW about the positon?" THEN you keep your mouth closed - until that person or those people give you a satisfactory answer to your Q.

If they forget to include something you think is important, then ask follow-up Qs, until you get answers to all your Qs.

Doing the interview this way lets that person or those people talk as much as they want about the position AND you may find out A LOT more information than he/she/they may have originally intended to be told.

When he/she/they finish, you might want to ask, 4] "Is there anything else you would like to share with me?" OR "Is there anything else I should know?" THEN you keep your moputh closed until they are finished answering your Qs.

You should do this for each Q.

I suggest you not only do this for your upcoming interview, you can do this each and every day of your life - for each and every situation. When you ask a Q, keep your mouth closed until that person fully answers your Q to your satisfaction OR until you think its necessary to ask a follow-up Q.

THEN you might ask those questions you have on your list. Please make a list of Qs. It helps A LOT! Yes, PLEASE don't go into any interview without a pad with your Qs on it and about 2 to 3 pens - so you can make notes. At the time of your interview and in your interview, you don't have to make notes unless you feel its absolutely necessary to make notes in the interview.

After the interview is over, you IMMEDIATELY write, using your very best handwriting, AND mail a "Thank You" note to each person who interviewed you. This is the reason you ask for those business cards.

Here鈥檚 what I believe you should do: These are suggestions. They work! When you do things as I suggest, you greatly increase your chances of getting the interview. That鈥檚 what you want, isn't it? JUST to 鈥済et your foot in the door.鈥?br />
If you can find an easy-to-follow, on-line form, use it. If not, go to the library and ask a librarian. He/She should be of immense help. How? Because folks come in the library ALL the time, looking for that exact information.

You get one shot - one opportunity - to make a great first impression. You NEED a professional-looking r茅sum茅 AND accompanying cover letter. Every r茅sum茅 and every cover letter are going to be slightly different. You MUST tailor-make your r茅sum茅 and cover letter to fit each ad you鈥檙e responding to. Make a note of each r茅sum茅 and each cover lette and whom you sent them to.

1] Go to an office supply store or a stationery store and buy THE FINEST, BEST-QUALITY stationery and matching envelopes - letter size AND note size. PLEASE DON鈥橳 purchase something for the price! IT MUST BE THE BEST OR GREAT QUALITY. The color should be white or off-white.

If you are not sure, ask to speak with someone who KNOWS what is THE BEST. I鈥檒l mention a name: 鈥淐rane鈥?stationery. As far as I鈥檓 concerned this is the best..

I noticed the grammar and spelling in your question. NOTICE: Your grammar and spelling MUST be perfect. When you prepare your r茅sum茅 AND cover letter, use your spell-check and grammar check.

If you are responding to a Want Ad in your local paper

2A] Go to the library and find-out EXACTLY who to send your correspondence to
2B] AND THE EXACT NAME AND TITLE of that person or those people.
2C] You NEED THE EXACT ADDRESS. If it鈥檚 a street number with a Post Office Box, get it.
2D] Find out EXACTLY how to address the envelopes and inside addresses.
2E] Do you have those names, titles and address? Do you have the different ways to address your correspondence and envelopes?

3A] When you think you have it perfect, ask someone to review it. How about the librarian or your high school English teacher? PLEASE swallow your pride and accept their constructive criticism.
3B] THEN make the corrections [and revisions].
3C] Ask that person to review it again - just in case something was missed the first time.
3D] Make the corrections and revisions.
3E] Ask for another glance of your finished product by that person.
3E] Did that wonderful person do a great job helping you? Using your best handwriting, hand-write him/her a 鈥淭hank You鈥?note on that best-quality note sized paper. It goes a very long way - just in case you might need some additional help in the future.

4] Prepare and send the r茅sum茅s to the people you have on your list. Don鈥檛 forget to make sure each and every cover letter is signed. Make sure the same letter and r茅sum茅 are in the same envelope, addressed to the same person.

5] Use postage stamps. DON鈥橳 use a postage meter.

6] When you for the interview, get dressed in your very best suit or clothes. Take an exact copy of the same r茅sum茅 you mailed to that future employer.

Did anyone ever tell you the definition of 鈥渋nsanity鈥? If not, here it is: According to my mentors: 鈥淚nsanity is doing the same thing - over and over and over again - AND EXPECTING different results.鈥?
Do people get different results? Very, very rarely.

I believe I did my best to help you. Thank you for asking your question. I enjoyed taking the time to answer your question. You did a great job - not only for your information, but for every other person interested in reading my answer. Thanks to everyone for reading my answer.

I wish you well!
