Do you think I got the job? Went for an interview, told me to come back Monday to meet the manager? |
I got interviews by two different people, they talked at the end and told me to come back Monday to "meet the manager" and they were "interested". You think they want me to have an interview with the Manager? Or is it just like they would check references, talk it over, then offer me the job and orient me on Monday? That depends on several things. What position were you filling out for, and what is your job background? More than likely, they are wanting you to come back so that the manager can ask you a few questions, as well as to meet you, so that they can get a better idea of if you are right for the job. The fact that you made it that far is a good sign, and if I were you, I would practice what I would say to any questions that they may ask. Questions like: "Why do you want to work here?" "Where do you see yourself in 5 years?" "Why should we hire you?" These are the most commonly asked questions, and they may have more or less. Make sure you keep your answers short and to the point. Don't give them a life history, and please don't ramble on needlessly. They tend to tune you out if you do this. Sit, shoulders high, smile on your face, and try to avoid talking with your hands. Keep them folded in your lap, and remember, keep it simple. Good luck, and you may even want to show up a little early for the meeting with the manager. It will definitely show that you have incentive. the only way to know if you got the job is to hear, you are hired. no guarantee in the hiring process until you are done with it |
