I need some help I want to drop out of college to get a city job because i dont think collge is right for me?

but if I do my family will be upset but I need to do whats right for me so what should I do

seriously dude your city job probably won't last it has happened to many people keep going to school if you don't believe me email me and I have a picture of a leg wound I have incurred and can't afford to fix it because I never went to college and can't find a job anywhere because of my wound I am seriously screwed right now. Be smart and stay in school Source(s): 29 and jobless and never went to college
Why do you not think college is right for you? Is it your major? Is it the level of work?
What do you want to do with your life?
Consider this, it will be 10x harder for you to try to go back to college later in life. Really think about it. Don't be afraid of the work required. You will always have to work hard and smart.
Stay right where you are! You will find life hard without a college degree (because of the kind of work you will or will not be able to get without one) Stay put, struggle through it, what you're struggling through right now, is nothing compared to what you will struggle through if you drop out. Most jobs worth anything, if they allow you in without a college degree, they won't let you advance in the job without one! Don't trap yourself, stay right where you are and finish your schooling.

How upset do you think your family will be when they have to support you, because you don't make enough money to take care of yourself, because you dropped out of college? You've got waaaay bigger concerns than your family being upset with you.
This may sound wacky--but what you want at this point in your life overrules your parents. Perhaps you do need some freedom. Maybe consider a compromise. Take a few classes online. I sincerely wish I would have dropped out of school and not been in such a rush to finish in four years. Make sure you have a good plan in place. Also, consider some counceling, that big of a move WILL guarantee stress on a VERY HIGH level. Also take a career aptitude test and maybe even get a life coach. Write a pros and cons list for staying or leaving school.
Maybe you are just not at the right school for you. Try to keep a close eye on finances. Try to make a balanced decision, and if you have to stick it out a year, come up with a plan at school to spread your wings and fly. Have you explored all your options at school? Think of people who you really admire. How did they get where they are? Do some career research and soul searching and I hope things go swimmingly well for you.
Dropping out your college education is not the best thing that you should do its hard to find a white collar job when you have no degree i told you....its been my experienced...you're lucky with your family they wanted whats best for you..
