which is the job i prefer. But i accepted the whataburger job which i dont want anymore. I havent started or signed any papers im suppose to go today and take my id and pick up a uniform. How do i tell em i nolonger wanna work there. Just call and say I got a better job offer or what?????? Just call the manager and tell him/her that you were offered a better position. Remeber to thank them for all their time. yeah, it's that simple. make it short and sweet. I would explain the situation and tell him you appreciate the offer, but the hospital is a better job. Honesty is not really that bad. Call and tell them you got a better offer in an area you like more. When things are really tough, honesty can really help. do what i did.. just dont show up. .they'll get it One more thing - be apologetic to the manager of the burger joint. You never know when your paths may cross again. It's called not burning your bridges. The burger dude probably sees very high turn-over and won't be shocked that you opted out. It doesn't sound like you have the other job yet. I would go and start at Whataburger, then if you get the hospital gig quit, but be decent and give a couple days notice. What happens if you don't get the hospital job? Then you will have no job, no money, that doesn't make sense. And, I'll give you a hiring manager's secret... ...all hiring managers would rather hire a person that is working, than a person who has no job. It doesn't make sense, but it is true. |
