Benefits for hiring convicts? |
why is it that after college, i cant find a job with a living wage? its not fair that i have to wait tables for less than $10 per day sometimes when a convict washing dishes makes more than $8/hr regardless of buisness. I know how to wash dishes, but the chef wont even hear me out. Unfortunately a lot of us college graduates just assume that we'll get a good job just based on having a degree. That's just not true. From my experience, I easily could have the same job I do now without college. i am not a craappy waiter. i brought a ton of biz for that place. plus i did not say i have a degree. Good possibility that he knows that this is only a temp.position for you and as soon as something better comes up your gone. But a lot of places wont even consider hiring an x felon and your manager knows this and also knows he will be around for a while espeically if the x felon has to keep a job due to his parole aggrement. Get another job where you are unknown. That lack of respect shows you are not well liked. Action speaks louder than words sometimes!! my opinion I feel that if you feel that you can do other jobs, make sure your job is done then without no one telling you and without stepping on anyone Else's toes I would go ahead and do the other job as well, and when your done with that, do another job!! And if anything is said just say I was trying to be helpful to this company and I can get the job done I did not mean no harm to any one respectfully!! One point or another he will see your ambition and hard work. People do change! Find a better restaurant. $10 a day means you're in a crappy place or you're a crappy waiter. Apply for the dishwasher position. |
