Im getting this hostess Job? |
Do you have any advice on how to be the best hostess. i know it sounds silly. but im just curious! Remember that you are the first person customers see as they enter the resturant, make sure you seem genuniely happy to see them. The most important thing to remember as a hostess is this: Happy Customers= Bigger Tips Bigger Tips= Happy Waitresses Happy Waitresses= Bigger Tips Outs for Hostess Bigger Tip Outs for Hostess= More $$ in Your Pocket!! Smile, know your specials, accomodate people with children and old people. It's the best way to go. Also, if the servers are busy- help them out and get their drinks. Good Luck! Source(s): waiting tables for years It doesn't hurt to smile....And also...It wouldn't hurt to be friendly and have a sense of humor. Nothing is worse than having a waiter or waitress who is none of the above. I am a security guard at an International Airport, although our jobs are very different, the same traits are very much needed... Nothing can make someone's day more than a friendly smile, or funny joke...You would be surprised at how you can change someone's day with only a smile and a friendly comment... Good luck on your job and Congrats :) Always SMILE :o) and be friendly. Be ready for people to be rude as they sometimes can be but still be nice to them. If you get frustrated, just treat them as you would like your grandma or grandpa to be treated!!!! From my observations when I'm serving, a good hostess or host will accommodate their guests and act happy. Make sure you check how much you're getting paid though. I know at Red Lobster host and busser staff only get a paid wage and there is no tip outs to them. |
