What's the most common question to expect in job interviews ? |
What's the most common question to expect in job interviews ? There's no single question that in itself shines as being "the question" but here are several which are fairly common. Tell me a little bit about yourself. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? What would your last supervisor say about you? What kind of leadership experience do you have? Have you ever been convicted of a felony? You may also be given some situations and asked questions as to how you would handle them. Keep in mind a few things. The employer is now looking for people that they can trust to show up to work on time, put in a full day's work while on the clock and get along with other employees. Gear your answers towards this kind of thinking. Finally, employment is an elimination process, if they believe you can't meet their needs they have a stack of resumes of people who can. When there is no good answer to a question, focus on how you've corrected the issue and end every answer on a positive note. I usually get stumped with these questions unless I prepare ahead of time. Hope this helps. Susan H. They ALWAYS ask that annoying question "Why should we hire you?" or "Why did you choose this company?" I always feel like saying "WELL last time I checked you guys where paying people to work for you!!!" But just think of some good stuff to say now to be prepared. =P |
