How can I find a job with no degree, but willing to learn quick and I'm willing to relocate, a gen. laborer |
desperately seeking a job, I am a 39 year new jersey resident with a family and I am unemployed. I have experience in manual labor jobs. I just need an opportunity and a chance. There are tons of job sites on the internet. My brother finds small temporary jobs all the time. There is USA jobs and Monster.com. Just type in jobs or looking for jobs in the search engine and GOOD LUCK!!! try your local labor union. if you can get in it they have insurance, schooling and can help you find work. memeber local 998 lansing mi. Do not give up. Can you elaborate and add to the question to explain what kind of laborer you are? What kind of work? There are many programs available to you at your local one stop career center. I'm not sure where you live in New Jersey or what those centers are called there, but they will help you either get some training or find you a job. I googled and found you this link: http://www.wnjpin.net/oscc/ Go there and someone will help you. You would be surprised at how many people show up at these places wearing jeans and ripped up t shirts. Go dressed in khaki pants and a golf shirt. Make a good impression there just as you would to interview with an employer. You will be ok - it may take some time to find something, but you will be ok. I cannot stress enough how important it is to get some skills. I'm not talking about college, I'm talking about technical skills such as welding, CNC, SPC, or some other specialy machinery. Many vo tech schools offer programs that are very inexpensive for adults. Good luck to you. check this link its good http://workathomefreelancingdataentrywor... . start looking for anything under construction. Show up at the job site at starting time. Tell them you can do general labor. Trust me, in the construction world, there is always a day that some one doesn't show up, and you will replace them. good luck. |
