I just became a waitress, any tips? |
I don't know anything about waitressing :O What kind of waitress? Bar or restauraunt? If its a restauraunt then keep the drinks refilled check back frequently, if its a bar then ask for shots because that kicks the bill up and USUALLY they would tip better but dont expect it. I tip 30% for a good waitress but 10% for a bad one. Also know your menu and be friendly and outgoing. Do the best you can and be nice to your customers. I usually tip more if I like the waitresses personality. w/e you do try not to piss off ur customers cuz they will complain and it will get very annoying and give u a cruddy tip To get good tips, always treat the customers with respect; provide prompt service with a smile; get the order straight; check back frequently to see if there's anything else you can do; keep beverages refilled. Never, never agrue with a customer. Until you feel like an old pro, let your customers know that you are new to the job. Cute pun. The key is know your product and SMILE!! Interact with the kitchen staff to find out not only what's on the menu but who it may appeal to. Be friendly and smile a lot. If you're having a bad day, don't show it. Customers will appreciate an upbeat, knowledgeable, and friendly server. try this http://www.thriftyfun.com/tf487219.tip.h... hope it help !
