Depends on your definition of HIGH PAYING....
depending on the restaurant, a waiter can make up to $300 or more a NIGHT on a weekend... a CHEF can make VERY GOOD MONEY ---once again, depending on the popularity of the restaurant.... the best job in the food service industry that pays VERY WELL is RESTAURANT OWNER--but then again if you manage it poorly or make too many mistakes running it---you can run it into the ground rather quickly.. An EXCELLENT WAITER or WAITRESS and a good Chef can make excellent money WITH THE RIGHT RESTAURANT....
3 brothers, MOTHER, and son all have been in the food service industry at one time or another...
