Becomming a successful pastry chef? |
I've recently committed myself to the idea of attending culinary school after high school, now a Junior. Does anyone have any advice, such as a list of respected institutes in or near (or not) Southern California. Also, after I do complete my education at culinary school what can I do to insure a profitable business in the near future. Also, Also, is there anything I should do to prepare for culinary school, anything I SHOULD do before attending a school. And any other advice is welcome. go to a few pastry shops, don't reveal your plans, just say your interested in being a pastry chef. google for pastry chef schools in your area. A successful business needs a solid financial management plan as well as a product. Word of mouth is still the best advertisement. work at it. you have the vision, keep the faith, and it will happen. just do not give up. |
