Job at bakery without prior experience? |
Has anyone ever gotten a job as a baker with no experience? If anyone is a baker, how did you get to the position you are now? I'm a baker in a grocery store. I actually started off there in the deli, and was eventually cross trained to work in the bakery. Our baker ended up breaking her wrist, so I had to jump in and take over. When a permanent position finally became available, I had the experience necessary. Unfortunately, its the kind of position where you would have to slowly work your way up the ladder. Source(s): 6 years as a baker I have a friend who has been a baker at a major food chain store and has been for approximately 9 years now. He had no prior experience going in..............but that said........he wrote down all of his experience in HIS OWN kitchen on his resume/job application. He loved to cook for himself and his children and he wrote this down.....he wrote a couple of his specialties down and so impressed the supervisors that he got the job! hey if i got a job as a baker at cinnabon in florida with only at home experience learning from my mother &also selling my own cakes from home and teaching my kids how ,and if your mom teached you thats if you were in the kitchen with her ,then baby you already have experience!!!in baking. |
