I lost a job of 12 years and I'm going a little crazy with these computerized applications. Any suggestions..

I am computer literate but this way is so impersonal....no human touch.....it's like people don't want to be bothered anymore...I am too country....I do come from a small town....I just need some suggestions and maybe a little encouragement....Thanks in advance everybody!!!!!!

I have been in the computer business for almost 40 years and yes I grew up on a small town and live in a small town. The one thing that I have learned is that the only constant is that things are going to change. I agree that there seems to be a loss of humanity and this is a good example of how we are losing the human touch, but that is the way it is going and you can either accept it and learn or fight it and lose.
I would talk to your state employment agency and see if you are eligible for re-training or schooling. If you say you are too country I would suggest that you talk to some farmers who are using computers to plan crop planting and track milk production etc...... they are using GPS to determine how much fertilizer to spread and where by tracking the yield in different areas of a field.
Bottom line is that the human is the most flexable creature able to survive in any number of conditions and that even means the work you do. Cold as it may sound it is either learn or die or in this case be unemployed.
i don't get what your saying. Most of the time, I had to go to the company to do an interview. The only thing I needed my computer for was to print out a resume.
check the news paper and try monster.com
i get what your saying
we're living from our computers, i want to go bak to the days where it was all on paper.
its rediculous i remember back in grade 6 my school principal threatened to kick me out of school if i didnt get a computer?
it started way back than, im now 19yrs of age... im 23wks preg with a baby boy and i feel sorry for the world he's going to grow up in, although he wont know any different, he still wont know what it was like back in the 80's lol
computerized application is the trend of these day's high productive and effciency work. People need to change theireself some times.
Take a few computer related course and start over
It's easy.
