Where are the local civil service test for postal worker? |
Where are the local civil service test for postal worker? you need to first find a position you are interested in. you can either go online or to one of their large facilities (not the local post office, but the large mail processing places - that's where their HR dept is usually located.) if you find a position of interest online, you'll need to answer a few short questions. After that, you'll have to just wait for the postal service to get back to you. If a testing is coming up, you'll be sent a letter informing you of the date, place, and time of the test. check out the usps.com website. you can find all the information you need there. Spooky gave a nice answer but it isn't entirely true. Go to www.usps.com. At the bottom of the page click on jobs. Your local HR cannot help you. If they are giving a test in your area then you sign up on line or by phone and when they announce the test date they will send you information about when and where to take the test along with sample questions. You can look at sample questions now in the employment area on line. If you want to work as a temporary job -- which really means no benefits -- you can go to your local post office and request an application. Fill out the application -- which in my district is just a postcard -- mail it in and wait for them to send you the full application. Temporary jobs are called casuals and in our plant they work full time. Good luck! ME! 12 years of postal service, 8 in management |
