I know a person who's had many jobs. What are the reason's a person is hired and fired a lot? |
No problem getting a job just a problem keeping the job. Being happy with the job. Either getting fired or quitting because they are unhappy. The person probably has a good personality that's why they get the job. But then they might be unreliable and that is a poor quality when working. Otherwise maybe a "don't care" attitude. Part of growing up involves learning to deal with the crap in the world. If someone can't adapt, they aren't likely to last long at most jobs. :( Very few people are estatically happy with their job. It sounds like your friends expectations of what a job is are unrealistic so he(or she) doesn't perform up to par and gets fired. Honestly sounds like a matuity issue. The problem is that employers look at a resume like that and assume exactly what the first few answers state. (the person is not reliable or has maturity issues) That may be the case in many situations; however, in some cases (like mine), the person may have had to leave the job for a variety of reasons. Such as school, moving to a new area or pregnancy/raising children. While there are legitimate reasons for having many jobs over a short period it is almost always perceived as bad. Military spouse, on & off student, pregnancy, moving often all tell the employer "this person won't be here long and why should I spend the time and money to train them?" That's life. Absent any of those reasons it is almost always due to personality. The job hopper can't get along with people, doesn't accept responsibility, can't accept direction, doesn't know what they want, or just plain lazy. |
