I am starting a Non Profit. How do out if there is a NP offering the same services I plan to offer ?

Use all the resources possible - check out United way, volunteer centers, phone books, chamber of commerce, etc. Ask about what services are out there and if there are any gaps in service. Even if there is a similar agency out there, they could be missing an important service.
It doesn't matter. Many non profits compete.

Have you seen the IRS forms for a 501c3? It's not fun. Good luck.

ps- non profits are overrated.
