Are non profit employees exempt from being paid time and half?

are non profit employees exempt from being paid time and half if they work more then 40hours in a week and time and half if they work more then 8 hours a day live in michigan

By federal law, they must be paid overtime (time and a half) if they work over 40 hours in a week. Federal law does not set daily limits on hours for overtime pay, just weekly.

Working for a non-profit doesn't change this. There are some jobs, mainly management jobs, that are not covered by this law.any empolyee that is salary allways is exempt from time and a half
