How can i let news papers and new know about a new non profit org?

just call the ones you are interested in and tell them you want to run an ad and or have an announcement made.

Call them up and put an AD in the local paper. First you have decide what you are going to say and what you want it to look like, after that you're good to go.
I suggest writing up your own "Press Release" about the Non-Profit organization and submit it to the Newspaper Editors for inclusion in the papers.
Type up Press Release that states all of your information and contact info on it. Good Luck!
