Are Government Job Really Worth The Hassle? |
All I Hear Is That Government Job Are The Best, You Gets Tons Of Benefits And Blah Blah Blah But In Order To Get All The Juice You Have To Jump Thru A Whole Mess Of Hurdles And Roll Over And Beg... The person above me nailed it, security. Unlike corporate positions which could put you on the stoop one afternoon without warning, government positions offer the security others can't. The red tape is something which overwhelms most people. Most people do their time at various gov't organizations then move on with that real experience elsewherre. yea-an to work in a prison--must be like being a "prisoner"--not for me--too stressful. Depends on the job. I have a degree in Urban and Environmental Planning. Most positions are in local or state government. I don't think that there are a lot of hurdles involved. Professionalism is a must and begging will not get the job. Government jobs offer security and its not true that you need to go-a-begging. Apply for jobs that you have passion, qualification and experience in would give you better chance. Yes, sometimes it is hard to get government jobs, there is alot of red tape, and yes you do have some kind of security. I would not go work for TSA, there start out pay is horrible. |
