Where do i find the best PA jobs? |
hey guys, im looking for pa jobs for the last 2 month but havent even been called in for an interview yet. am i looking in the wrong places? please help ty PA has some of the best schools in the country and practically no jobs. Over the past 10 years, PA has been losing population and employment, big & small, consistently in the highest 5 of all of the US states. Sadly, you probably have the top qualifications for your position, but there are no positions for your position. Admittedly the biggest cause of PA residents to stay in PA is family ties which I highly admire, but you are trying to dig a crater with a teaspoon. When I lived in DC and NJ, I ended up meeting more PA ex-patriates age 22-29 in those places then in PA. PA is one of the best places for middle management - people who have made a name for themselves and need to run a small team with about 10+ years of relevant experience - something it sounds you don't have. I would look to apply to positions outside the state but near your locale - Cleveland and DC for West Penna residents, NY and NJ for Eastern PA residents. It is amazing the weekend trek which is filled with people your age seeing their parents every weekend on the highways. Source(s): Born & raised in PGH - DC resident for 10 years - now living in Boston. Back & forth between PGH & DC over 200 times over 7 years - know every inch of the Penna Turnpike between Breezewood and Allegheny Valley by heart. Sorry to be harsh, but that's the sad fact of Pennsylvania, a place that will always remain in my heart. |
