Since i been out the military for 3 months i've been constantly applying for jobs and getting no results...... |
should i go back in the military(usmc) or keep trying That seems weird. Thinking of what it takes to be military personel: 1. Dedication 2. Commitment 3. "Whatever it takes" attitude Seems like punctuality and reliability would be a given. What kinds of jobs are you applying for? It's hard to say how "transferable" your skills are since you don't mention your specialty? Anyhow, check out militaryjobs.com - it may help. There are always some companies which prefer vets - any gov't contractor does. I can't possibly tell you if you should re-up! There are WAY too many factors for you to consider! Best of luck & thanks for your service. Years in HR You got out of the service for some reason. Don't go back unless you totally enjoy it. Give your job search a chance. Have you constructed a really good resume. Make your resume short and sweet, no long drawn out history. Try to include a cover letter. The cover letter should be an intro of yourself. Include your good qualities. Keep trying. I was out for 1mth before I found a job. And I found it through a Temp Agency. Check one out they are everywhere and they can find you a job while you look for another one. Some are Temp to Hire and others are just Temp. They have Admin or Industrial work. So whatever you have skills doing they can help you in that field. you betcha, just look at where everything is being made,CHINA. lookie no job for American, plenty jobs for CHINA. Do it go back and be a lifer, my brother did and is now retired,plus he's my little brother ! If the times were different I'd have stayed in the NAVY, and knowing what I do about special forces now I would have taken the SEAL recruiters up on their offer,back in 1973 the SEALS had to hunt for people,and I was a recruit-petty officer,they only got one guy out of several companies to go,he broke his leg in training. BACK to the corps, semper fi. Viet-Nam 73 when we were not there, ya right. |
