B.S in Sport Management, what job can I get??? |
B.S in Sport Management, what job can I get??? Some guys I know with this degree have become assistant coaches at the small college level. They do more of the business side rather than actual coaching. They take care of scheduling practices and workouts, make arrangements for trips, aide in recruiting, etc.......One that I know moved up to become an assistant at a much larger school because the Coach he was working under got the job, and hired him as an assistant... This is why college is a waste of time and money, Colleges are the best salespeople in the world. I have the same degree, and do nothing with it 10 years later. The best jobs I've seen are marketing positions with sports franchises. You would start at the bottom, but could move up quickly, and be making considerable money in a few years I had a friend who got hired on with the Kansas City Royals as a manager. Unfortunately, it's difficult to get hired unless you have connections. Employers don't generally consider Sports Management to be a very desireable major. If you are still in school, I would suggest getting a second major in Accounting or Finance. If you've graduated, I would go back for my MBA. Good luck! Manager at a health club. Manager at a sports rehabilitation center. Administrative/management job with a sports arena. Administrative/management job with a sports team. Coach at a school. depend on what you want to do. You can do something with your degree, or you can totally do a different things. u can work as an admin or marketing officer in a local gym or sports council or sports school. |
