Okay, yesterday I complained about a mail carrier on my route?

I was bashed to no end regarding my ignorance and heartless way I had treated this incident.

If there are any carriers out there or anyone who knows what they go thru, please let me know your rules regarding your postal route.

for example, I was not aware a postal carrier can get into trouble for not reporting a menacing situation and then going back to the same situation again and again.

Had I known that this was a part of her job requirements, I probably would have treated this a whole other way.

I am not saying I don't feel for the carrier in making her decision for what she did, I just feel that had I known there are rules, I would not have taken an offense as I did.

Well that is a bit of a pickle. I hope that it turns out well for you. I understand your frustrations. I also understand the mail carriers' plight. Here is something I can share with you...

In our city, the carriers usually walk their routes and, as they are visible to the neighborhood, we usually know them pretty well. In one of my last apartments, I came to know our mail carrier, Mike. He was a big, amiable guy who always had a kind word for everyone -- the type of man that would come help you struggle with a door or whatnot as he did his work. He was attacked by one of our neighbors dogs quite viciously -- another neighbor had to rescue Mike. The attacking dog had been docile for the many years that he lived in that house with his owners -- but something set him off as Mike made his rounds that day. It was scary because I am a small girl and the dog did a lot of damage to a big man WITH doggie mace. My point is: I guess it is wise for the mail carriers to be safe -- for Mike (he recovered but was so very cautious on his route after that incident), I'd sure rather Mike be safer than sorry. But, you've got to get your mail and that is also a bummer. Sorry!
based on what I've read, i gotta agree with you, your mail carrier's acting unreasonably, keep complaining
You have every right to complain to her supervisor. She needs to do her job. That's what shes being paid for. And if she can't, she should get a different job. She just makes life difficult for herself and everybody else. From what you said, she has nothing to worry about. I mean, its not like your dogs are running wild!
