What are some good websites to find government jobs? |
What are some good websites to find government jobs? http://www.usajobs.gov Have you tried www.usajobs.com? It's the governments job search engine. www.usajobs.com is the official federal government job site. If you want to work directly for government, try usajobs or go directly to the governement sites. But, if you're interested inworking for a government contractor on government contracts, such as myself, try Raytheon, BearingPoint, Indus Technology, Deloitte, Martin Lockheed, and many others. try this web site www.jobs.faa.gov It's all jobs with the Federal Aviation Administration The responses for www.usajobs.gov are right for federal gov't positions. When you find a job posting you are interested in, follow each of the requirements carefully. Don't substitute, scrimp or otherwise "second guess" what they need. Hundreds of applications are received for postings, those that are incomplete or late are immediately thrown out. Make yourself competitive by registering on the website, getting your resume/college transcripts uploaded to your computer so you can include these with your application. Applying online does not give you a leg up, make you more competitive or guarantee anything over a mailed application. But you must follow the instructions completely to be considered. Good luck... usa jobs is the only one I know because it's the government's site. some of those other ones are usually not legitimate. |
