I applied for almost 30 jobs in Baltimore and I still haven't gotten a response from any boss. Why is that? |
I am looking for a part-time job in Maryland. Can somebody help me? Who is hiring? how is your figure ?? Just keep trying. Eventually you will get a job. Call them after you apply with them. A lot of jobs never contact you otherwise. Sometimes you have to be very aggressive and keep calling them. Applying for jobs is not fun. However, don't wait it out...be proactive and catch an employers attention. Call them directly and ask them what is going on with the application process. When you are actually applying for the job, don't send it via email, go into the place and ask to see who is in charge and personally hand them your resume. You need to sell yourself and you can't do that while sitting around. It is intimidating at first, but as soon as you make the first couple of calls, it'll be easy. Good luck....and remember, be proactive!! You need to target the companies you are interested in working in..make sure your skills match and then you need to learn about their business so when you call you will sound intelligent and better than 99% of the other candidates. Call in and talk to the receptionist or person working...either pretend you are a customer needing advice (so they will actually teach you about their product)..or just be upfront and thell them why you are interested in working there. (you like retail, coffee is your favorite beverage, you enjoy organizing, etc) Experience Too many unemployed. I think it could be all who you know. |
