When are thr goverment going to do something about the? |
40,000 British Children taken from families for no reason what does the goverment think of the damage they are doing to all these children as a result.? All the government cares for is achieving their targets: "The Government have set a number of targets on adoption, in particular to increase the numbers of looked after children who are adopted from care. The following target was included in the Department of Health publication "Improvement, Expansion and Reform: The Next Three Years (Priorities and Planning Framework 2003-2006)": "Maintain current levels of adoption placement stability (as measured by the proportion of placements for adoption ending with the making of an adoption order) so that quality is not compromised whilst increasing the use of adoption as follows: By 2004-05 increase by 40 per cent. the number of looked after children who are adopted, and aim to exceed this by achieving, if possible, a 50 per cent. increase by 2006, up from 2,700 in 1999-2000. All councils will bring their practice up to the current level of the best performers. By 2004-05 increase to 95 per cent. the proportion of looked after children placed for adoption within 12 months of the decision that adoption is in the child's best interests, up from 81 per cent. in 2000-01, and maintain this level (95 per cent.) up to 2006, by locally applying the timescales in the National Adoption Standards, taking account of the individual child's needs." http://www.forced-adoption.com/whydothey... The adoption rates are going up but only for the youngest. the older children are not so wanted by adoptive parents and many of them will end up in foster care is what i read a week or so ago. Please explain more. 40,000 kids, where from? Which type of family? Where are these kids then relocated? The best thing that could happen, Fiona, is that the 'family courts' are opened up to the public. They are kept in closed session to protect the paranoid social workers and their often loopy decisions rather than the poor families involved. I had no idea that this had happened. If your facts are correct, the authorities must have a reason for taking the children. Perhaps they were in moral, physical or mental danger; or perhaps they would have no chance to survive in our world if they stayed where they were - for instance their parents were taking drugs and badly effected by them. what kids please give more info If the courts are taking so many children away how come only U seem to know about it. Such a high number would surely be hitting the media big time!! Anyway if its correct then there must be good reasons. Social workers do a great job 'john' and a very difficult one. Glad to see you thought your answer thru about open courts......no thought about protecting the child involved there then!! I don't know when but I hope they do stop it soon and give the parents who need it help to care for their little ones..you need to log on to the site ''' gives and ask the secretry of state this question . The Jeremy Kyle show, trisha etc look sure to have "guests" for the forseeable future people who have been taken and know no reason why. |
