Civil Service Exam?

I recently took the exam and scored a 88 on it. I am a vet and at 30% disability. Is this score good enough to gain employment.

this is not only "good enough" it should put you near the top of the list. You should get additional points for being a Vet but many times you have to check off this request on the application for the exam. Anyway, following a civil service exam, an "eligible" list is created based on the scores. Your score is very good as these exams go and you should be high on the list. Usually 70 or 75 is passing.
Without knowing what job you are applying for or if you have all the right qualifications etc your score is certainly acceptable for employment. and the fact that you are a vet will help as the Gov likes to support people who have served their country. I don't know what type of disability you have either and whether it would present a problem for your work. there are many other factors to consider also when they choose which ones to hire, vet is a plus, disabled is a neg, 88% is a plus, health may be a neg, etc. but if you are qualified for the job your score is more than acceptable, unless ofcourse you failed in something that the job requires
It really depends on the type of job and if they hire alot for that job title. I scored 92 with no veterans/disability and it took about 4 months before I was called for an interview and then after the interview it was 3 months until I actually started work. This was for a clerical job. Good luck, but you really need to have patience with it.
