What kind of job in the post office pays more? window clerk, mail man, sorter etc...USPS?

You do not start as a mailman and work your way up to window clerk. Nor is window clerk the prime position.

It depends on the test you take. You may take the mailhandler test, or the clerk/carrier test. Due to automation many clerk positions are being eliminated.

Carrier and clerks generally start at about the same rate of pay. For info on the pay scale go to the NALC website and check for the pay scale link.

window clerk is the prime position - you only get that by seniority - I think all positions pay the same - you start as mail carrier and work your way up, IF you can eve get in. My brother scoed 100% on the civil service exam and never got called - a lot more people apply than there are openings
