How would you describe this: Ability to analyze work processes?

Im completing this job application...and sadly, Im not sure what they mean by the question they posed. Any suggestions?

It sounds like they are looking for your ability to break down a given task into components and then evaluate the usefulness and/or effectiveness of the individual pieces. Think of the process involved with assembling something; which machines are the slowest and create the bottlenecks.

I think they want to know if they are going to have to explain every task and tool every time or whether they can expect you to figure out how to work independently and be efficient on your own.
Your ability to oversea the work going on around you. To analyze that.
