I need help finding a philanthropic job in Harriman/Kingston, TN, but cannot find one through listings yet.?

Know any good sites to look?

Identify organizations like the Red Cross, Boy Scouts, Camp Fire Girls (shows my age doesn't it), Habitat for Humanity, Churches, junior league, Lions Clubs, Rotary Club, Make a Wish,

Does your community have a professional sports team? Does it have a Wives (Spouses) Club? these groups are "big" on fund raising.

Check with large corporations in your area. Most will have a philanthropic department.

When you have your list, work the telephone book.
Try www.opportunityknocks.org. It's a good site for searching non-profit jobs.
Try www.idealist.org. Also, look at www.guidestar.org for organizations in your area, decide which ones you'd like to work for, and call them. Read "What Color Is My Parachute" to find out more about how to do this.
