Too experienced or not experienced enough. please help!? |
Too experienced or not experienced enough???? Help!? I am 19 from Brisbane City, Australia I have worked 1.5 years in a state government department. I completed a cert III In business Administration I have had various private sector and goverment temp positions in the 4 months since then. I have never not been doing something. From school to study to work... Why am I finding it so hard to find a good perm job. I am wel presented. Awesome references. I seem to always be too experienced or not experienced enough. I just want to work. More motivation than most people.. Any advice? Do you have a college degree? Have you had years of experience?? Most places, want someone that has had both. While that may not be fair, because someone has to hire you with no experience to gain experience. Also, a lot of places may think your too good to be true. I have had troubles because it seems like everything is just too perfect- I want to work and am very flexible and friendly. Sometimes, it is just a matter of timing and it does depend on the number of people that are trying to get the job. Lets say they meet with 30 job hopefuls in 3 days, by day 4 their ready to find someone and they pick the first person that meets the requirements that day!! That is just the way it goes. It seems like if you have factors that you need, like you must get off by this time, they like to work with people that have ( realistically) other things to do. People who plan and prioritize. Even those with a degree, they want someone with a higher degree or even more experience. I don't get it either!! Keep your head up and be patient, your time to shine will come and all your hard work will pay off!! Source(s): me |
