Under 40K Jobs?? |
Is there a law that says after you graduate from college and get a degree, once you get a job, the employer cannot pay you under 40k??? Please... answers! There is absolutely no such law however, depending on your degree, you may have a choice on which positions you accept and with which companies. I would recommend not necessarily worrying so much about starting salary, obviously you need to make sure you can live on what you make but more importantly, look at opportunities for advancement within the company. If there is room for growth, then you will move quickly up the latter. Look for a company who cares about their employees. Check out Money Magazines Top Employers list, and start with that. Good luck! NO! I wish, but no they can pay whatever and if you don't like it you can leave. However its easier to find better jobs w/a degree, in fla teachers with a BA get 24-26 something like that and masters gets them 2k a year more starting so definately not 40 or more No, but you can come take my low paying job. Uh.... you wish! No, there is no such law. There are plenty of college grads flipping burgers for much less than 40K, for example. |
