Can I transfer from a County job to a State Job?

I currently work as a county employee and I was wondering if I need to test and apply all over again or if there was some kind of process for transfering to a California State job?

No, you can't simply transfer. Unfortunately, they are seperate systems. There could be one exception and that may be if you work for the Sacramento county, there may be a way but I haven't heard anything explicit about it. Source(s): Alameda County employee and of other counties.
You should not have any trouble transferring to a state job they have the same requirements.
