Job at the post office and written exam?

i want to apply at the post office but it say that applicants are required to take a witten exam. Has anyone ever taken it or know anything about it?

Yep, gotta take a test.

There are different tests for different positions.

You can get study guides with practice tests at the library for free. It is imperative that you study and practice. You need a high score to get hired b/c many, many people will be taking the tests. Source(s): me (10 year postal employee)
You don't always have to take the test....if you want to go into the rural carrier craft and just be a temp (although sometimes these temps stay for years) you can apply to be a TRC. But you may live in a really large city with all City Routes. A TRC is getting 13 something an hour right now...I do believe..
