I have an interview with a state agency in a week or so for a level 2 position. The interview is going to be structured with a pre-determined set of questions in front of a panel. Has anyone had experience with government interviews? I have no idea what to expect. I am unsure if the questions are going to be job specific scenarios or just your general interview questions.
I work for a VA medical center. I have interviewed for several jobs with the criteria you stated, a panel, standard set of questions etc. Some of the questions they will ask will have nothing to do with the job you are interviewing for and it can be very frustrating. Just be ready for anything. Be ready for alot of "do you work well with a group?" Be bold when you are in the interview. They like to hear you brag about yourself. Tell them you are a motivated person and you are a great worker. That is what I did in my interviews. Good Luck! |
