Of all the Overseas Contractors to work for, who is best? |
Dyncorp, Blackwater, KBR, Halliburton, Vinnell Corp etc. Who did you or a friend work for? Anything you would like to share with me would be great. I was in Iraq as a Army Reservist and heard what they make in a combat zone. I could make up to $200K a year tax free! Anyone care to give me any info? 1. DynCorp began in 1946 as a project of a small group of returning World War II pilots seeking to use their military contacts to make a living in the air cargo business. Named California Eastern Airways the original company was soon airlifting supplies to Asia used in the Korean War. By 2002 Dyncorp, headquartered in Reston, Virginia, was the nation's 13th largest military contractor with $2.3 billion in revenue until it merged with Computer Sciences Corporation, an El Segundo, California-based technology services company, in an acquisition worth nearly $1 billion. 2.Blackwater USA was formed in 1997 to provide training support to military and law enforcement organizations. In 2002 Blackwater Security Consulting (BSC) was formed. 3.KBR is a leading global engineering, construction and services company supporting the energy, petrochemicals, government services and civil infrastructure sectors. The company is a leader in many of the growing end-markets it serves, particularly gas monetization, having designed and constructed, alone or with joint venture partners, more than half of the world's operating liquefied natural gas (LNG) production capacity over the past 30 years. 4.Halliburton has continued to earn the trust of its customers around the world by leading the well-site services industry through the delivery of innovative technology, reservoir-specific expertise and outstanding service quality. 5.Vinnell Corporation, a Northrop Grumman Company, founded in 1931, performs services for governments, international agencies, US military and private clients.
