I have been fingerprinted several times for jobs. Must it be done again?

I am going to be hired as a substitute teacher, but I must pay for fingerprinting. This has been done 3 times before for different jobs. Is there anyway to avoid paying $60 for another fingerprint check?

No, unfortunately it's a precondition of being hired. It's been ruled legal by the Supreme Court so you can't refuse and still get hired.
the system only finger prints minorities. i get finger printed never.
Unfortunately, there is little way around this. The problem is that fingerprinting , in this case is by civil, as opposed to legal request. Your fingerprints are not retained in a data base and new ones are necessary to do a search for a criminla record. If oyu had a criminla record, your prints would be on file and that could hurt your chances of getting a job.
most school districts do not require new clearances each year to be reemployed the following year. New school districts may require fresh clearances.
