A decent entry level position for poli sci grad? |
prefer to be answered by people who have similar background or experience with this. I'm just wondering how people are doing for their first job after graduation. p.s. don't give me crap about how useless is poli sci. I recommend working for your state or local congressman. Many grads try for the internships and jobs in D.C. But you might get more interest and will be more likely to be accepted if you apply to their local office. I did that as a grad student and found out that no one had ever asked to work in the local office--so it was easy to get the internship. If nothing else, it gets you experience and a foot in the door. As for me, I learned that I'm actually not interested in politics and probably should have chosen a different degree after all. But even that was worth the experience just to figure that out before getting into a career that I wouldn't like. Good luck! |
