Humane Society Employee Benefits (403 b retiremnt plan)? |
does anyone know how much is taken out of your check for this 403 b retirement plan? what about medical? dental? You cannot be required to contribute towards your 403b plan. You contribute as much as you like, or nothing at all, up to IRS limits. I believe it depends on the state that you are working in and the county...I know that the Humane Society is a national organization, however benefits are not all the same. And I remember that there were several insurance plans offered...you will get to choose the plan that fits you best. Keep in mind that...yeah benefits are a plus, but the Humane Society is about saving animals and I know when I worked there the benefits weren't that great...but I didn't mind because I was doing what I loved. (And this was about 2 years ago...so I'm not sure how they have changed) Your best bet is to ask other employees or sit down with the director and discuss your options. I believe YOU choose the amount deducted for the retirement plan, so it depends on how much you want to sock away.
