I am applying for a govt. job and filling out the application. can i leave off 2 jobs that i did for only a?

month each. The jobs did not work out. The jobs were commission only and i did not get fired. Would they find out about these jobs that I left off the application and get pissed off about it?

I would put them on your application because they may do a background check (especially if it's the federal gov't) and it would not reflect well on you if you omitted them.
Why not list them and simply explain as you did here? That way you will have no concerns about the omission "catching up" with you later - and you can completely focus on learning the new job. Good luck.
I'd leave them off or your work history will be overly complicated. I did a lot of temping a few years ago and only mention longer contracts, such as 8 months and over. I also worked for The government, they're not interested in checking in that much detail. (As long as no disciplinary action was involved for you leaving.) Good luck!
If their application states you need to list a complete history, then you need to list all of your jobs.

If you're just submitting a resume, you can leave those two experiences off, but don't be surprised in an interview if they ask for a complete history of employment.

Be open and honest. If they didn't work out, they didn't work out. But if you don't mention these jobs, and it comes out later that you had them, it raises a red flag for those in the position to hire you.
I work in HR for a municipality and contrary to what someone else said, yes, we do check work history thoroughly. We have not hired people because they did not give us a complete work history when we asked for it.

Good luck!
