If ur the president, how can you alleviate poverty? 1.have a good sound platform for it. (fighting red tape & graft) 2.surround myself with good caliber trustworthy people. 3. invest on education, infrastracture and sectors that needed funding and very promising. i am not going to commit graft and corruption. i will use the funds properly. a president should offer more jobs to his own people and not be ruled by corporations influencing him to give incentives and tax breaks to companies producing goods outside his country. trade should be kept to a minimum and the president should create as much funding as possible to helping learn new technologies for energy & fuel efficiency so that his people do not have to pay the larger part of ther salary for heating and transportation or worse go to war for oil It is esential for the financial success of a country to be self reliant create a public works system not hindered by unions, discontinue welfare and mandate you work for your benefits, only those deemed unable to work, elderly and disabled would be exempt, larda** is not a disability, those that are too lazy to work hard for a living would be rounded up and dropped off in Iraq with a t-shirt that has "Jihad this" written on it........ 1.CUT UNNECESSARY GOVERNMENT SPENDING AND INVEST SAVINGS INTO COOPERATVES. 2.PERSECUTE CORRUPT GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES.3.DOWNSIZE THE BEAURACRACY BY ABOLISHING AGENCIES W OVERLAPPING OR DUPLICATED FUNCTIONS. LET THE PEOPLE DO THE SPENDING AND INVESTING INSTEAD OF THE GOVERNMENT. Poverty has always been with us, since the beginning of time. However, there are ways to lessen the effects of poverty. Many programs over the past 100 years have worked toward that end; the problem is convincing Americans to believe in the maxim that it is worthwhile to help others ... so that they can eventually help themselves. No one ever achieved anything worthwhile without help. I believe the best programs are not faith based, however. Faith based programs tend to ignore real poverty and concentrate on making their particular "church" more financially stable. Programs that teach people to read, write, comprehend, and use that knowledge to find a better way in life are the best programs. Thank you for caring enough to ask this question. Poverty cannot be eliminated. Even the Bible says that the poor will always be with us. Socialism and Communism have tried and failed. Education is the key but some people or cultures cannot be convinced of this. |
