I want to join the army opinions? |
im 17 and plan to join the army and become a warrent officer and fly a helli the becoming a W/O is the fast way for me to start flying so thats why i want army ive already flown a plain and helli an hour each and enjoyed the helli alot more if i fly then i have to stay in for 6 years so i want to stay in untill i retire and then ill be able to do whatever with a helli then im out cus ill have some many hours. i want to fly a cargo or transport helli but not a gun ship so ill know how to fly a big helli and be used to anything smaller. any advice? Having a goal is very important, having been there and done that, remember it it's not all beer and skittles. But the good side is you will have three meals a day and keep. If you do a tour overseas you get danger money. Stick to your plan but before you commit yourself be certain that is what you want. You will find many people could tell you about the bad side of army life. But life is what you make it. good luck. keep in-touch If thats what u want to do then go head but My friend went to be a officer to and she hated it. the sky is the limit......(dont lose ur oxygen) lol I am a soldier in the u.s. army if that is what your interested in go for it, but i will warn you it is not as pretty as it sounds and not as easy as you think but then again it is 95% mental. make sure you find time to study and take your test make sure you have the college credit. Choose your m.o.s , your job wisely aeronautical mechanics, learn everything you can and politic your butt off. good luck to you, Rambo. For me I enjoyed my job and I made the best of it. I wish i could stay unfortunately i was injured in iraq and i can't but i will be working side by side w/ my battle buddies as a gov't employ or contractor. Stay strong, focused, and motivated and you can do what you want. keep me informed Do you look like Javahut? Maybe they need you in the army. However, you may have to up your writing skills. There is always paper work with helicopter/plane (notice I spelled these two words correctly?) flying. I would prefer you to get a job where my son's life is not in your hands, unless you take a very different tack in your army life than you do here in Yahoo. You need a certain attention to detail in LIFE, that you are not exhibiting here. But you are seventeen and I hope that there is room for change.
