What makes a good second job without putting me in the ER? |
I work full time for a busy non-profit and wish to stay, but my finances are very tight right now and I think I need to pick up something else to supplement my income. I'm worried though that getting a second job, even part time, will strain my abilities to keep up and continue to serve each well. Any ideas on possible other sources of income that won't completely drain me? Pizza delivery. Deliver pizza. LOL!! Be a school bus driver. Off during the day from 9 - 2 (approximately) and earn good money for no hard work!! I am in the same boat. I am a full time teacher and had to pick up extra hours now at the place where I worked this summer. The pay is not great, only $7 an hour and I think I will regret it. I started this weekend and I am very very tired. The second job is in retail (register or stock) in a big company BIG company here in Central Florida. I can only take a second job during the weekends because I have small kids who can't stay home alone. I am thinking of applying at Barnes and Noble which is only 5 mins away compared to the 45 min drive I need to do for my other job. I think I would rather work there. Referral business to a great direct marketing company. Yahoo just doesn't allow us to put links here. Jennifer get a high commisioned job. trading hours will never be as high as commisioned jobs- but requires you to sell. sales-good saleman, doctors, pilots, ceos, all make big bucks. I agree with #2 do something with driving. You'll get paid decently for your work. You can probably make $16+ per hour as a part time driver. Those extra $200-$300 per week help out more than you know. I drive part time handicap vehicles for the elderly and disabled and I make more there than at my full time job (non profit with mental health and substance abuse population) Go for it . Experience |
