I had a second interview with a company, two of the hiring managers. It went very well, and the next day the? |
HR manager called and asked for 2 professional references. So i emailed those to her right away. The hiring managers told me they were probably going to decide today. I havent heard from them, and I know they havent called my references yet since I still keep in touch with them. What is up with this? I thought it was a good sign they called for my references after I know they interviewed everyone. Why would they bother otherwise? But now I am discouraged because I haven't heard anything and they haven't even called my references yet. Anyone have any insight? Something may have happened in the office that prevented everything from happening. I was told once I'd hear back in a week. Two months later I got the job. Unbenounced to me, the company lost a major client and had to rethink their plan. Once they figured it out, they called me back and hired me. No way of telling what might have caused the delay. If you don't hear anything by Monday or so, you could call them and ask if they've made a decision yet. Give them some time, you'll probably get the job, Sometimes they just tell you anything. GOOD LUCK! I am heavily involved in the hiring process at our work. Sometimes other issues arise which delay us in letting a person know we have hired them. But then there are other times like when we do an internet search on a name and come up with unexpected results. People don't realize that what they post on the internet is open for everyone to view. Google your name and see what comes up. Other than that, just have some patience. They probably got caught up with something else. life experience |
